Strategic Priorities
Using setting and systems approaches, the areas of focus will be organized into five key pillars:
- Belonging & Connection: feeling supported and valued, safe, and secure
- Faculty and Academic Success: where faculty success, student success and institutional priorities meet
- Culture of Well-being: programs and services offered that support well-being
- Sustainability: campus-wide sustainability efforts
- Supporting Infrastructure: physical parts of campus e.g., residences, buildings, streets, open spaces, parking, etc.
Next Steps
Provide Central Support: Provided by the Well-being Collective, with a dedicated lead and a program manager for faculty and staff wellness.
Form an Advisory Council: Consisting of institutional leaders with deep expertise, who can provide community connection, recommend content-area expertise, bridge the decentralization of campus and provide guidance on emerging research.
Form a Steering Committee: An interdisciplinary group of students, staff, and faculty responsible for long-term focus and coordination – the backbone of the work.
Form Work Teams: Responsible for implementing co-created action items.
Conduct Visioning Sessions: Help clarify the goals and aspirations of equitable campus well-being by allowing participants to articulate their vision for the future.
