UCSC Labyrinth
Discover the Labyrinth
Moving through the labyrinth can help quiet the mind, relieve stress, encourage reflection, offer enjoyment, and aid in resolving conflict. The vision is to provide a space for respite and renewal, serve as a tool for personal and psychological transformation, and foster a sense of community.
The path was dedicated on December 2, 2024 and is located under the redwood trees in the center of the Baskin Engineering Circle.
Please contact UCSC Ombuds De Acker with any questions or to book an activity for your group or team.

Design
Labyrinths have been used for thousands of years in many different cultures and countries around the world. The design was created with accessibility for all in mind.
This project was made possible with funds from the UC Office of the President to fight bias and bigotry, and designed by Lars Howlett.
Your own pace
Release: Start at the entrance and follow the yellow rope to the center. Release any worries or concerns.
Receive: When you reach the center, pause for a moment to receive whatever wisdom or peace may arise.
Return: When you are ready, retrace your path back to the entrance and listen for any new thoughts that may come your way.
